2010 Grand Marshal:
Wayne Peterson

Grand Marshals

Wayne is just a local, country boy born at the height of the great depression on the home farm about a mile north of town. He attended Glenwood City School and River Falls State College. He spent 2 years in the army, attended graduate school in Iowa, then spent 30 years in the Ohio University system until his retirement in 1999. Moving back home to the farm presented Wayne the opportunity to participate in local and regional activities such as the West Wisconsin Land Trust Board, St. Croix Valley Master Gardeners Board, G. C. Public Library Board, G. C. Chamber of Commerce, Glenwood Area Historical Society Board, St. Croix County Fair Board, G. C. Methodist Church Board, G. C. Cemetery Board. For the last 10 years, he has had the privilege to host free outdoor summer community band concerts at his Peterson’s Valley View Farm.

Wayne wants to welcome you to the 2010 Rustic Lore Days celebration, where there will be something for everyone. You might just see some Peterson antique red tractors rolling down the parade route!
