
2011 Grand Marshals: Carlton & Paula DeWitt 

Both Carlton and Paula are life long residents of the Glenwood City area. Both graduated from Glenwood City High School and have live in their Maple Street home for the past 43 years.
Paula is active with the local ambulance service having been an EMT for over 35 years. She is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce and active with the local Historical Society. She is a collector of earthenware, like Watts pottery and Red Wing Crocks.
Carlton has been a member of the local fire department for over 50 years and served as fire chief for 25 years. He has been a member of the city council and the county board. Carlton is an old printer and spends ten days at the Minnesota State Fair in the Minnesota Newspaper Museum demonstrating how a weekly newspaper was printed back in the 1930s.
The couple has owned and operated the Newspaper in Glenwood City since 1975 and also own the newspaper at Colfax. The couple have three sons and six grandchildren.
